Referral to a good marine mechanic
« on: June 15, 2005, 10:53:07 AM »

Hoping to get my boat back on the chuck this summer after several years of sheltering it in the garage.  I am thus in need of a good marine mechanic (outboard engines) to service my 70 hp Evinrude, and 7.5 Merc kicker, which have not been active for years.  Any suggestions or cautions as to where I should get the service done based on the past experiences of other members would be much appreciated.

For servicing your Evinrude, I would go to Lordship Marine:

http://www.lordshipmarine.com/

I took my boat there for service after it had been stored for several years and was happy with the work performed. My motor is a 70hp Evinrude as well (1978 model).

They have been around for several decades and have a good reputation.
