East coast Vanvouver Island near qualicum

Hey all
Staying beachfront next week on  Vancouver island near Qualicum. Will have access to a rowboat and I was thinking of doing a little trolling/ mooching for salmon. Unused to catch coho and jack springs in the area when I was a kid but I think that was later in the summer. Any thoughts if the fish might be around this time of year?
