One of my favourite players growing up. Still remember the hit he laid on Bobby Orr.

Remember very well watching him play for the Leafs & Canucks.
Great coach & remember him at the end of a game turning & yelling at refs & throwing a big wad of chewing gum.
He was just 1 win away from winning the Cup.
I talked to him via CKNW radio talk show when he arrived as head coach.
Wished him welcome & asked about his cousin John Quinn a past area pro wrestler. Answer was that he was wrestling in Ireland.
He was so personable & friendly.
His illness was not revealed but assume it was cancer. His body wasted away.
RIP. A man who loved the game. ( remember as coach for Philly & they set a new record for not losing a game...what was it ? 30+ games )
