My islander has developed a slight wobble, never been dropped well looked after, would it be a spindle issue causing this ? anyone local to the lower mainland that does repairs on these reels or do I have to send it in to Islander, Should be some Pin people on here who has had to get a reel looked at from time to time
Thanks

Send it in to Islander. Their track record for servicing is EXCELLENT, and they generally have a fairly quick turn around time. I'd do it right now so you get it back for the best of the season! ;)
Cheers,
Nog

I used Mike's reel repair.

Lapa, you took and Islaner Pin to Mikes reel repair ? what work did you have done on it ?

Did you use braided line backing? if you put just mono on the reel it could be warped from the expansion of the line. I hope thats not the case :(

it has dacron on it, roughly 200 yards of it

That's not a reel repair.

I also had slight wobble on my reel from beginning. One store suggest that it can be bearing issue. So i decided to replace them.
Now it spins like a dream.
