Title: Shushwap Lake
Post by: BCfisherman97 on August 02, 2015, 11:02:51 AM
Headed to Shushwap Lake at the end of August on a house boat. Thinking of sticking a downrigger on the back and dropping some lures down while we troll along. Any info on trolling speed, lures, depth or anything at all is greatly appreciated.

Lots of great local info on www.reelfishingadventures.net (http://www.reelfishingadventures.net)

You will need conservation stamps if you want to retain any trout, and it is single, barbless hooks, and no bait.
There are kokanee in the lake (usual wedding ring behind some kind of attractor)

Popular hooks for trout are large Apex and Coyote spoons.  Colors seem to vary, but cop car, and watermelon seem to be successful. If you can get in to Salmon Arm, stop at Westside Stores they can help get you set up.
