The Cap has a short time of higher water and the tackle shop in NV said it has produced some fish. Now at 2' at the gauge, I wonder if new fish can still come in or the natives are still blocking the river entirely. Any updates? Wouldn't mind give it a try tomorrow. Thanks.

ya thursday was insane steady moving fish not a lot of bites for how many fish is saw but i did get into a few

thats the problem with rising and falling water levels, the coho dont stop until cable to rest. I was down by the highway at around 10 oclock and spotted a coho with a white patch on his nose. I then made my way to cable, only to see that same coho swim into the tailout. Moving fish aren't biting fish.

i have seen probably 10 or more coho in there this year with white patches on their head and body...

I have also seen a few with that same white mark.

Checked it out this morning. Very low, not much activity!

hey capilano mano, I'd like to learn how to hook these hatchery bound coho in low water. If ur willing to teach me then i'll show.

Stale fish dont bite, but resting fish do.

moving coho in the cap are the biters, the stale fish in the holes "resting" just wont bite .......but on occasion they will commit suicide.

i was swapping between roe, krill, and deli shrimp. I was standing in a run, watching as multiple fish every 10 min would cruise into the tailout. I would cast well above the fish and present my bait to them naturally with the bait coming down the flow first, them my splitties, but i was having zero success. some of these fish were absolute ocean chrome bullets.

Some days they just won't bite regardless what you use. Other days they'll bite anything and everything. Such is the vagaries of fishing.
