Does anybody know how the Squamish/Maquam/Chek are doing these days?

The Mamquam is a gong show... until recently lots of kids and dudes foulhooking fish... almost unavoidable right now unless your fly-fishing. The Mamquam, I would say, is done with for pinks.
I tried the Cheakamus because Cohos should start soon but I had no luck.
Last Sunday I fished the upper Squamish just to get away from the crowds. No signs of pinks there,  but I caught a nice big dolly....

the cheak for cohos doesnt start until october and thats the early run, the bulk of the run is in november and some fish are there until as late as late december

If you fish the Squamish in and around the high tide you will still get into some decent looking fish but it is definitely nearing the end. As for the Mamquam, as has already been mentioned, don't bother. That run is finished and watching the idiots, fly fishers included, snagging spawners is totally unbelievable and infuriating.

@ fintail..
agree that the big runs are later but I remember fishing for Chum and Cohos quite early last year. There are definitely keepers in the Cheak in late September/ early October. I remember because I bought a new rod in mid-October after breaking a lighter rod with a furious Chum... and that was almost peak run last year
