What is the best knot for tying your backing line to your reel? With mono.

nail knot or a blood knot thats what i would use. :D hope that helps ;D

Ok, maybe my inexperience with fishing is showing here.. let me ask the question again... how do you tie 'line' straight to the 'reel'?

Oh sry..... u can u a arbour knot....or  i use a Improved clinch knot.....  :)

Too late... I used the Palomar... it's my favorite knot anyways... I just didn't think I could use it at first because I wasn't thinking outside of the box... just have to make the loop big enough to go around the entire reel... Wastes a bit of line... but I was smart enough to take the reel off the rod first... wow that would have been a waste... Thanks anyways for the info.  ;D

I was just going to get you to consider a simple overhand with another overhand above it.  Too late :'(
