I have a 11 foot Steelhead rod built by Wayne Hanson for me that isn't getting much use. It has a Fuji sliding reel seat on it. The rod is a Clearwater blank built by Gary Loomis back in the early 1990's. Wayne built me a number of rods that have served me well. He and his wife Brenda were great rod builders. I would say that it is a medium fast action. Around a 3 power rod. It has been fished but is still in good condition for your son to enjoy.

Thanks for the offer Rod. The rod is for me, not my son and I did already buy the Amundson and it balances nicely with the reel I bought.
