the only thing you can do on the vedder this weekend is snag and floss, getting a fish to bite, chances are next to zero

Right you are roeman.  ;)

At dark today the river was toast still.

Nice thing about these conditions is that more fish will certainly move in the system to be caught once it drops and cleans up a bit.

I dont want the river to drop too much though as then meat holes form and the fish are so spooky.

But whatever!! I just gotta get out...the little fish in my aquarium are looking pretty good.  Good thing they dont make hooks small enough.

IMHO Fulc's talking about the 'fishing the pocket water' thing. ;) Stealth Coho tactics=putting the roe right in front of their nose=fish on!Think I'lll go to the chuck for a try today though ;D; tight lines!! P.S.-Canada vs. Finland = Canada's World Hockey Domination 8)

How's the water clarity today (Sunday)? The level has dropped down to 1.4 meters but clarity may still be bad. Any reports? :)

Just got back, water not bad, now about 1' clarity, levels still higher than I like. Went to Army base bridge saw 1 jack spring on roe, 1 jack spring at Lickman and nothing at Keith Wilson, very slowwww. All the guys I talked with were surprised at how crappy the fishing was considering the amount of water it now has.
O well next week should be very good.

All these high water condition this time of the year are great for the smaller Fraser Valley river systems.(except for the Cap!)   :(   Less stress on the fish while milling around at river mouths.  But then, they are under heavy predation from the river side by us.  Hopefully a lot will pass through our lines to breed. ::)
Nice to hear the Vedder system is anticipating healthy runs of Coho and White Springs.
