well curous on all river on bc what do most people use??? this does not incude angling for sturgeon. Only for salmon. I know i use 20lbs mono on fraser. 15lbs mono on vedder
-
Mono only for the river
-
It's kinda pointless to do a poll if you're not going to let us vote, however, my vote would have gone to mono.
-
15lb mono on most rivers like vedder etc.
Braided line for bigger rivers like the fraser ec.

aYup! To the point that if/when me and the Ladz see you using braided on our home waters (Stamp and area) there soon follows a discussion of why you shouldn't be ;)
Cheers,
Nog

braided? 20lb mono? Why do you need that fast water? I never use more than 12 lb mostly 8 sometimes 6 in rivers i guess i dont target springs much and the waters slower so its a bit different. My vote would be mono hands down.
-
Personaly i dont have a preference for smaller rivers i just use what i got. When it comes to floosing them sox braided all the way.
-
OK I THINK U CAN VOTE NOW?

Mono has been catching fish for over 70yrs. If it ain't broke (and it costs A LOT less $$$)...
-
let alone it better ;D
-
:D mono for the smaller rivers then braided for the fraser :D
-
12 pound mono for vedder and chehalis, braided line for the summer in the fraser, usually 50 pound.
-
braided for the fraser and mono for all other rivers
-
MoNo all the way!!

I've think there are advantages to both lines but I noticed that mono casts way further and smoother than braided. I was using 30lb tuff line and found that the line dug into the spool causing resistance when coming off the reel. As well, when the tuff line gets wet, it dries and hardens onto the reel.
I then switched to Ultragreen and haven't switched back ;)
