Title: Thompson River
Post by: BCfisherman97 on July 27, 2012, 05:53:33 PM
Any reports? Salmon, trout? I might head out next weekend and camp for a few days. I just want an idea of the water level and if anyone has a report they would like to give. I appreciate any info.

Thanks

Water is high. The trout are around, good water is a challenge to find.

Anyone have any info about salmon or any recent updates? Is it worth it?

Just travelled through the canyon area today. No time to fish but it is damn hot out towards Lytton and Spences Bridge as the temperature today was at 39 degrees celsius. At those temps, fish early in the morning or  later in the evening. Too hot during the day to fish in my opinion.

We always fish from first light and the fish just seem to turn off when the sun hits the water, but sometimes the fishing stays good for a bit after the suns comes out

Just an FYI guys, I drove through that way on tuesday. Took a poke at the spots I usually fish only to find them too high still to fish well. Lots of fishable water though, depending on what part of the river you fish.
