Ya what a monster,3.4 meters long 360 kg heavy and over 120 years old, unreal,just think of all the changes to the river that fish has seen in its life time,if it could only talk.

Supposably the second biggest fish to every come out of the Fraser River!

Its only the second biggest fish from the fraser since they have started keeping official records starting in the late 90,s there are stories of fish many years ago that easily broke the thousand pound mark .

The article in the SUn said they started keeping records in 1999, but for some reason I don't know if this is correct. Doesn't really seem right. Only 99?? :-\

they only started keeping official and documented records in 99 when more research was done on the sturgy and its habits ,it wasn't that many years ago that not much was known about this giant of the Fraser,over the last several years there has been a strong effort to learn more about such things as were they spawn, how old must a fish be to spawn and what kind of migratory habits if any do they have,this is when the tagging of sturgeon came into being.
