Title: Bedford Channel Fishing
Post by: Chehalis_Steel on October 07, 2018, 02:02:19 AM
Hey everyone
I was out hiking around the Derby Reach area today and I saw a bunch of fish jumping in the Bedford Channel. They looked like coho between 2-5 lbs. Obviously Coho is closed on the Fraser atm, but I'm thinking of giving it a try when it opens at the end of the month. Is this usually a good area for fishing? It looks like tide plays a pretty big role here. Is high tide or low tide typically better?

Signs of moving fish are good. Back when I did a lot of bar fishing we had best luck around tide changes and in the hour or so after a change. Some bars had reputations for being better on certain tides.

When it's open to Coho people usually bar fish with roe by the boat launch area
