anything in the stave?

is it worth putting on the waders and casting into the stave this time of year? what type of fishing is available? thanks in advance.

You would be better off fishing for trout in the local lakes....

The lower river?
very high right now at least around the mouth, the Fraser is in full freshet and the dam may be open from time to time or all the time.
Should be cuttys there in the spring feasting on all the fry, and there are silvermere lake bass in the slack water sometimes.
I did see a jet go up there sunday, probly sightseeing, i haven't caught a spring in July there in maybe 8 years, was lots of socks then too.

hey thanks for the replies. i guess i'll have to wait a while to hit the stave. as for the little lakes, maybe i can find a spot to wade out and cast a fly, i sold my little folding boat last year. i used to love rowing around buntzen lake on a sunny day, good therapy. tight lines!ll
