Reel moves in the rod
« on: September 16, 2013, 06:50:37 PM »

Hello everybody,
One of my reels doesn't fit perfectly in the space where it fits in the rod.

I was just going to throw in some paper to fill it, but thought I'd see if others had any ideas.

If it's a nice reel, I'll get a new rod that actually fits.

It's not worth losing a fish to a reel and rod fit problem.

Cut up an old bank card or something and make a shim out of that or some other plastic. If it's a nice rod have the reel seat fixed or replaced.
