In my opinion all the money from our tidal and non tidal conservation stamps should be going directly back into the resource,if it is not going  towards the resource why is it called a conservation stamp, just think $27 for a steelhead stamp $16 for a non tidal salmon stamp and $6 and change for a tidal salmon stamp, yes floater it is not allot of money for some of the great fishing that we are able to have but why as stewards of the resource must fisherman have to not only put in hours of volunteer time wich many members of the fishing community do to not only maintain the resource but to enhance it for generations to come but we have to pay for these stamps that very little of the money actually makes it to were it should be going to .I personally have no problem paying the money if it is going back to the resource, think about it we pay for conservation we put in hours of volunteer time but yet the funding to the hatcheries is being cut back wich has resulted in less hatchery fish being released for the paying sportsfisherman to enjoy, the sportfishing community brings in millions and millions of dollars every year into the government revenues but yet we are being hit with more and more cutbacks,if you think the coho season was poor this year this is just the beggining if we keep going down the same road we have been for the last several yearsThe sad thing is the government knows that the sportfishing community will continue to put in hours of volunteer time and money to help our sport survive wich will keep everyone buying their licenses and stamps and   filling the governments pockets, licences will continue to go up but will the funding increase?

The money from the salmon conservation stamps sold with the 300,000 Tidal water licenses every year is a substantial amount of money that goes to pave roads or whatever. ALL of this money should go DIRECTLY to salmon enhancemen or to the PSF

   $6.42 x 3000,000 = $1,926,000   every year

That kind of money goes along way in the volunteer driven salmon enhanement world
