  We hit the Stave around mid day to do battle with some chum, water was a little high and rising and not much current for floating so I decided to chuck some spinners, couple casts later I hooked a chum that was pretty dark luckily it came off near shore.  Next fish was nice and fresh, thought it might of been a coho at first, turned out to be a nice and bright male chum which we decided to keep.  Didnt stay much longer as my arms were getting sore, forgot how hard those fish fight! Didnt see any coho caught in the brief time we were there, but there are definatly alot of chum around.  Stopped on the way home for a bit of sturgeon fishing but didnt even get a hit in the two hours we were there.  Fun day out there today, but of course it had to rain, dont think Ive fished the Stave on a day that it didnt rain.
