Took a day off yesterday for some action. Fished between the ranger run and alison pool. Water was purrfect. Good visibility and not too high either. And the story of the day was.............................chums galore
. Also got two big springs fairly coloured....back in the water they went after some tussling. No cohos for me but saw two coloured ones on the beach by some fellow anglers. Took a break at 1.00pm to check out some steelhead waters. Then I went up top (meat hole)....crowded as ever and lines ripping. All I saw on the bank was chums and springs (coloured ones of course). Went back to my hole and fished till 3.30pm. Hooked into 4 more chums. Saw some coho's dancing but they all had lipstick on. Kept one decent chum for some fish n chips. I guess that was my last trip to the chedder for this year. Fighting those chums at the end of my line surely made my day
