I was planing on heading out to a local river this afternoon with my friend and we were just wundering what would be best to hoook on a couple of chum
-
Chum are very aggressive and will attack just about anything thats presented right. By anything I mean, roe, wool, spinners, spoons, jigs, flies etc. If you're fishing flowing water I would go with wool, roe or colorado's. If you're fishing backwaters try spinners, spoons, jigs or on the fly if you have the gear.

thankyou for the post ... im fishing water about 3-4 feet
-
Flowing or no current?
-
not really a current ... what would be good for no current.. and what would be good for current
-
Sounds like a size 2 blue fox would be a good candidate, although I'll bet that one of Rodney's spinners would work equally as well.
-
thank you very much
-
so the watter has a current whats the best to use .. and when the watter is more still whats the best thing to use the watter is about 3 feet in depth
-
If the water is flowing I would consider using wool or roe or maybe a small colorado. One thing to consider when dealing with such shallow and presumably clear water is that the fish will be spooky so keep your distance, wear clothes that do not stand out and do not make any sudden movements.
-
in that shallow of water would a spinner or spoon work....and how would you tie the wool
-
is that right emmo

i find roe sacs work for chum in faster moving water the best ;)
