I have some fresh roe and some prawn tails curing up right now. Obviously not for the cap

suuuuuuuuure ::)

I am not a bait or gear fisherman but i don't know why they would have a bait ban on the hatchery harvest river like the cap.
It would proabably cause more snagging with a bait ban .
-
The bait ban is in place to keep the catch rate of summer steelhead down.
-
Thats funny...this is the first year I have seen ANY summers in the cap ???
-
I was there last night, and boy the fish were safe from us... The three of us had the entire dog leg pool to ourselves...
Nothing would bite. Very frustrating, I showed them my best, and no love.

Was at Cable Pool last night. Fish everywhere but on my hook. I tried every colour wool, dozens of spoons/crocs/buzzbombs and left with nothing. Anyone know what gets bites there?
-
When there is a bait ban ,what does it cover ? ??? ??? ???
-
Covers the use of natural baits such as roe, dew worms, shrimps etc. It also includes the use of scents.
-
With the bait ban and a scent is not permitted what about the power nuggets , they are made of rubber ? ??? ??? ??? or is anything with a smell not permitted .
-
anything with any sort of scent on it, or impregnated in it.
Even Jensen Eggs are banned, they have anise oil on them, an attractant.
Wool, spinners, spoons, or flies are your only bet.
Cheers,
Nicole

Hey,
I'm the guy who lost his Blackberry in the cable pool. If anyone see it please let me know!
Thanks!

You can buy unscented jensen eggs. So those would be fine. They are stored in oil to keep them soft, but thats not a scent.
-
I'll have to look for the unscented option, I've never seen them before... The regular eggs stink like licorice...
Where can you get them?

Most tackle shops carry them.
