Vedder Drowning

CKNW reporting that a body has been recovered just before a bridge - didnt specify which one.  Condolences to their family for this tragedy.  Maybe someone else has further details. Very sad.

was this someone who went in today or did they get caught in the flood the other day??? Very sad, and yes, condolences to family and friends. Play safe out there boys and girls.

i was there earlier checking out the river. they've got a crew working above Allison, you can get through, but expect delays.

condolences to the fisherman's family. hopefully, it wasn't the owner of the submerged van just below KWB. a lot of people saw it sitting there on monday, but there was no trace of anyone around it, people thought it was abandoned or was left due to mechanical problems. :-\

I just heard on the news that his body was found at the vedder crossing bridge, but they didnt have anything else to say about it. Very sad thing to happen

From what I was told it happened at the Borden Creek area. It is always tragic when this happens and of course we all must be careful all the time, especially now with the high water levels and unstable banks.

The dirty water does not help as you can not see how deep it is as visibility is nearly 0.

While we were rescuing the chum yesterday we had a close call also. Will relate it in The Journal if I find time to scribe it. :-\

yup..... been air lifted off the vedder once....... never gonna put myself in that boat again.... just wish i could remember the helicopter ride.... I was too busy getting my heart jump started. Some of us survive the clutches of the river, many do not. My experience was not in flood conditions.. be careful out there guys and gals.

Very sad day :( My condolences to his familly and friends. I know exactly how they feel, having also lost a longtime friend to a fishing accident. :'(

Use extreme caution out there. With the deluge we've had recently the banks are very unstable.
