Long weekend?
« on: October 05, 2006, 11:37:58 PM »

Is the long weekend looking hopeful for coho or is it better to hit the lakes.  Last weekend I looked at some of the spots and the water was very low and clear!  What do you guys think??

I think the water is good for some coho on the vedder.  People have had some success over the past week...

There are definetly alot of fish in the vedder/chilliwack but the water is very low. The fish are all stacked up in big pools and will not bite except for at first light. There will be atonnes of guys in most of these deep pools. There are fish to be had at the Vedder but I did not enjoy the fishery as it was  last time out.

I would say head up country and hit the lakes, I was there a couple weeks ago and the fishing was quiet, challenging and rewarding I posted a full report on Fly BC if you are interested. http://www.flybc.ca/forum/index.php?showtopic=1355

My vote goes to the lakes (were the fish are biting all day not just at first light)

Good luck to all the weekend fishers river or lake!
