Title: Well, how much money for fisherys in the next budget?
Post by: Old Black Dog on February 19, 2007, 06:13:26 PM
What is your thought on the amount that the provincial government will give to MOE for additional fishery's?
After all they did promise us they would give us a world class fishery.
But so far they have not put any money into it.

Well, according to the Ministers blurb, NOTHING for fish.

Why should we be surprised.

I suppose you all know about the Woss hatchery being shut down after 20 years for Steelhead.
They MOE made a decision that the river was to be WILD????

If they MOE think that the volunteers are going to work with them they have a shock coming.

Wild or not, I would submit that most people (not necessarily FWR people) only care about total numbers.  If they don't have a good chance for multiple fish days, they'll go elsewhere.
