Access west side of Harrison Lake
« on: March 15, 2008, 08:38:53 PM »

Anyone know when or how to find out when the gate before twenty mile bay is opened.  Long drive in only to find the road gated.

The gate just before 20 mile is private.. It will likely remain closed until late spring early summer, and even then is only accesed by permission as the logging trucks will be active.

A boat is very handy on that lake, fish every bay and creek from the dock to hell even 40 mile haha

If I had a boat I sure as heck wouldnt waste my time boating to 20 mile bay, theres so many better spots to go to on Harrison Lake.
hmm.. not sure your definition of wasting time and mine are the same. Besides, what's the fun in fishing cutties if you don't have to search for them?

and Mike, connections eh?

Of course there are "better" spots, but that doesn't mean it isn't at times productive there. As far as "broadcasting" it on the net... we'll see how busy Harrison Lake gets as a result. If people that have boats big enough to fish 20 mile bay want to head out and crowd it, by all means go ahead. Good luck with a car topper though if the wind blows up, as it does most afternoons. We aren't talking about a delicate little system here... it's a HUGE body of water with lots of room for anyone willing to put the time in to fish it.
