Title: Fishin chick's bbq marinade for salmon
Post by: fishin_chick on June 14, 2004, 11:25:44 PM
Soy sauce (1cup?)
TONS of garlic
chopped up green onions (1 bunch)
japanese cooking liquid called MIRIN (can get at T&T) (1/3 cup)
Brown Sugar 2 table spoons
honey , a big blob
black pepper a bunch to taste
did I mention lots of garlic? like seriously, 2 full bulbs minimum

take the salmon filets or steaks, marinade overnight in mixture, take any excess garlic (finely chopped) and put it on top so it really seaps in.

BBQ, I like to put in on tin foil so it doesnt crumble all over the bloody bbq. you can also bake it like this.

bon appetite! Itadakimasu!

T and T supermarket.  One in Metrotown (next to food court), one downtown Vancouver (near Tinseltown movie theatre), one on 1st and Renfrew, one in Coquitlam centre too.  You can also get Mirin at Superstore I think (seems to me I bought it there once) and pretty much any store that stocks asian food products.

Can I come to your house?  Sounds yummy.  By the way, I like the way you use "lots and blob" etc.  Who uses TBSP's and Cup's anyway?
