That's sad news. Steve has been a long-time (sometimes active) member (http://www.fishingwithrod.com/yabbse/index.php?action=profile;u=1453) on this discussion forum, helping others by providing his knowledge on fishing in the Fraser Valley. He also attended the Chilliwack River cleanups.

Just did a bit of reading on his past posts. Seems as though he was only 63 years old? Thats too young to go. He leaves behind 3 kids. Thats just so sad. Sorry for the loss to all those who knew him.

That is really sad news. I remember reading articles by the "Carp" in many BC Sportfishing magazines while growing up. Then actually meeting him in real life and running into him on the Vedder. He is a true legend in the BC sportfishing industry. My condolences to his family and friends.

Oh my goodness! Wow,much too young to pass. Was it cancer? I met Steve a couple of times after the unfortunate passing of his daughter and a few more times on the flow through the years. Sad news indeed! My Condolences to his family. :'(
