Canadian Juniors going for Gold
« on: January 04, 2008, 02:22:36 PM »

The Canadian Juniors once again defeated their arch rivals USA 4-1 this morning. They now have a chance at redemption when they play Sweden for the Gold Medal tomorrow. Go Canada Go !

The best game of the tourny for the canadian bunch. I think it's time for some redemption on the swedish group :)

Mason played a real solid game for them despite most thinking that Bernier should have been the go-to-guy...looks like it'll be Mason all the way now! Let's hope he can play like he did today and bring home the gold. I know where I'll be at 10:30 Saturday morning.

The juniors had countless chances to get that third goal which obviously would have taken the wind out of the sails of the Swedes....they panicked way too much in the last a couple of minutes with all those icing calls.

Hopefully all those scoring ops won't come back to haunt them in overtime.  You don't deserve the win when you blow all those oportunities ...right now it's anybody's game ...Hopefully it's the Canadians.

You deserve the win if you out play the opposing team! and canada did just that! There 3rd period let down almost cost them but an excellent finish!

Congrats for Canada!

Had me on the edge of my seat the whole game. Heard on the post game that one of the Swedish defenceman wanted Canada in the final so they can beat us again. Careful what you wish for :) :)

Nice win of course for the best hockey players in the world.  ;D

Makes me feel a little better even though my Leafs lost by 1 but poor officiating again. They want me to come to Toronto again but the fishing is too good to do so. ;D ;D

Thats four in a row and what a game. Out of all the teams in the past I think this one  had to work the hardest to win the tourny. A great win for the boys. Off to the river tomorrow ;D

You've given up hope on the Leafs Chris ? I don't blame you one bit.

But Chris...now that the season is half over, if you multiply everything the Leafs do until the end of the season by 2 that means they'll finish the season in 52nd place! ;)

My prediction of a 20 win season may be too optimistic ;D Tough to be a Leaf fan. Must be running out of excuses.
