Raining very hard this morning, river should be Ok for a bit. River has not started to rise  yet but 3 hours to fishing time.

River rising fairly quickly so got of the island before I could not get back River coloring too, no bites, was so windy. A tree came down into the river I was told scared the anglers in the vicinity.

Got a text from a friend who was right near the tree. Can confirm it scared the s#$t out of him haha.

I was told visibility about 2 feet at dark, river dropping.

did not fish today so far going out for the evening bite. Lots of anglers enjoying a lovely day in Chilliwack.

The commercial openings on the tidal portion of the Fraser starting tomorrow will mop up what’s left of the coho and chum runs.

And we wonder where all the thompson steelhead have gone. Duh as Homer would say.

Lovely sunset tonight, water conditions, got to the river late 24 casts and came home.

I did not go out until the sun hit the water today, fished for 45 minutes. 6 misses, 1 fresh run doe landed and one lost on a trout bead.

The Fraser really came up and very muddy, good for the opening.

Fresh run chum continue to enter the system, lot of action while I fished for an hour, a couple of hours after sunrise very few anglers out in the Lower. Looks like the CO is nearly done.

With the heavy rain coming will not help either.

Yes. Takes a couple days after the commie fleet cleans out the river for new fish to arrive into our local rivers. Let’s hope there are no more openings after Nov 6th.

the openings remaining are Nov 4th and 6th from 6am to 7pm each day.  When I drove over the Port Mann yesterday morning there quite a number of boats out and not so many by 330pm. Each boat has a quote of 345 fish so number of boats fishing tomorrow and Friday will depend if most boats fill their quota early or not.
