Was kinda bored at work today so I thought I would just browse some stuff and was looking at New Zealand and all its wonders.
This little sausage showed up:
An absolutely fabulous 26 lbs. rainbow trout,
caught in the Tekapo region, New Zealand South Island.
That would have been nice to latch into. :D Its obviously been pushed forward a little for the camera, but thats still a big fish.

Thats only 26 pounds :o
-
Looks heavier than that,is that pic for real?
-
Nice tail!

Big fish indeed, but like most fish in that system it is hatchery raised.
The photo was captured by a Danish photographer and freelance writer Claus Jessen. He and his wife (in photo) travel the world, fish, take photos and write about their adventures in fishing magazines back home. Gofish/Chris on this forum has fished with Claus in the past, he's coming back again this fall I believe. He and I have only corresponded by email on numerous occasions, and will eventually try to hook up either here or in Denmark for some fishing. I'll be sure to bring up this photos and fetch out some more info for you GHC. ;)
Or better yet, I might just email him and ask him to answer any questions here. :)
