I just purchased a 8 weight temple forks outfitters proffesional rod on ebay. Now Ineed to find areel to match with thisnice rod. I have been spending quite a bit on various things, so price is important. As the wife will skin me if I spend to much

Try an Okuma integrity large arbor. Great bearings, great drag with a big adjustment knob and cheap, about $75 I've had mine a couple of years with no maintenance and no problems

Last year i bought a ross rythem reel. 6-8wt. It is an awsome reel and runs soo smooth. I paid 320$ for it but i think it is worth it. Its also a life time warrenty.

I also have the Okuma integrity large arbor. 7/8. Very nice & sleek looking. Great drag system. Perform very nice on my 3pcs Sage 10' 8 wght
The only complaint I have, and it's minor, is the line sometimes gets into the star points of the drag dial. This isn't good if you hooked a fish. I got this from ebay for cheap.

well I picked up 2 reels on ebay. One was a Redington crosswater and a PFLUEGER # 1990 * TRION reel

how much did that set you back?

Crosswater will be for sale as it is Redington lower end model. Made mainly of plastic. Will sell for 30 dollars. The 1990 pflueger trion was 105 canadian. this reel is new. The 1912 sells for about 20 dollars more.
