Title: Stave River Cleanup, December 3rd 2016
Post by: Rodney on December 01, 2016, 02:24:35 PM
The salmon fishing season in the Fraser Valley is pretty much over now but it is time to give back! First Light Fishing & Tackle is hosting a Stave River cleanup this Saturday (December 3rd). If you would like to participate, volunteers will be meeting up at the Kanaka Creek Regional Park's parking lot at 23272 River Road in Maple Ridge at 9:30am. Gloves, garbage bags, and water will be supplied but be sure to bundle up for the cold morning. If you are attending, please leave a comment or send a message to Steve at the store so he has an idea how many people might be there.

Good work  We are also having a "Hot Spot" cleanup this coming week on the Chilliwack River. Chilliwack Vedder Cleanup Society, Fraser Valley Illegal Dumping Alliance and Fraser Valley Salmon Society will be doing the work on a few bad spots, we have enough volunteers to do the work at this time.
