UV spray

Anybody try this stuff out for salmon and steelhead?
I'm thinking about giving it a try.  Just curious as to anyones experiences.
There is an interesting article in the fall 09' issue of BC Outdoors Sport Fishing regarding roe curing.
They did an interview with a guy from pro-cure.  Apparently UV is hot.
Also mentioned that UV spray seems to be great for sturgeon too.

i did buy some but have not use it yet. I actually didn't read the label properly or at all, as I though it was scent. :-[ :-[

Will let you know when i do try it out tho. just not sure what to spray it on. roe?lures? wool? everything?

I may just be an easy sell but from what I've read, UV spray/gel is supposed to be amazing.
I am most definately going to try this out on my spoons for pinks.
Will probably do up a batch of roe with some UV added in too.

"Scientists tell us that UV light penetrates water to a depth of 1000 feet or greater based on water clarity. Fish biologists tell us fish seen in a UV spectrum, so fish see lures and baits better when they are UV enhanced."

And from the pictures I've seen taken under blacklight it seems to be true.

I 2 read the same article and was more interested in the gell. Where do they sell it as I want to try it on some rainbows next weekend.

tested it out trolling for springs one side of the with and other without didn't make a difference fish on both sides no one side was better

They've been selling the spray in Washington State now for a few years.  The UV info is true for the most part, but doesn't seem to make much of a difference.  Otherwise, the same container of UV spray wouldn't have been on the shelf in my local store for 2 years now.  Pro cure and everyone else is into this because it's fairly new and fishermen are always looking for the next best thing.
