Went to Merritt and fished Kane Valley lakes on 11 Mar. A little snow during noon time. Temperature was mild. I was sweating after drilling holes. The ice was one foot six deep with 4 inches snow on top of.
It took five minute to get the first bite. But the bite was on and off until I finally found a honey hole. Pull out 20+ fish in a couple of hours. Fish were in 8-11 inches range. No big one.

Upper Kane, Lower Kane, and Englishmen are closed but all the others in the Kane Valley are open.
