They are both cool looking reels! ;) I hope that they will perform as well as they look!!  I fear thatt they might be a bit gimicky though! :)

Apparently the Loop reel has the same internal workings of the other Evotecs (whatever those are made of). And they say the plastic is "indestructable," but personally, I'd rather play a trophy fish on a metal reel rather than a "mystery material" reel  :-\

How are Daiwa low profiles compared to Shimano's?

personally I'd hold out until they have SEE THROUGH WADERS  :-*
