Silex help
« on: September 07, 2011, 12:20:56 AM »

I just converted my 70's Hardy Silex to LH retrieve.  Long story short, need a screw.  Any ideas?

Is the screw to focus your camera?     ;D

If its a speciality type of screw (which I'm guessing it is) you might start with Fastenal.  If its a brass screw, you may be able to get the size and threads per inch correct, but if the length is the issue simply cut it to length and use a fine file to smooth it up.

Good luck!

Thx guys.  I didn't realize my camera focus was so bad...  I bought it f/ a guy on this site, actually, good guy, & when converting it realized one screw was not original.  Once converted, the screw was not long enough & seemingly wrong threads anyway.  I'll try those suggestions...
