Spotted 2 steelhead in a spot today... went back to the truck, geared up, went to the spot but by the time we got in there, another angler had already landed 1 of the 2. You win some, you lose some. Water level is really low and clear, rain in the next few days would be nice.

Its been really hit or miss lately. Not a whole lot of fish moving through due to the low water, just a couple trickling in here and there. Although rain would help push more fish in, it also means there will be unfavourable conditions for a while after any significant rainfall due to the clay banks.

Managed a fish on Saturday and missed another. Lots of guys out over the weekend and even this morning. River looked even lower this am. Welcoming the rains today.

Hit or miss is the story of winter steelhead fishing.

Just wondering, has the access been closed to the train bridge from the Chilliwack side yet, via Keith wilson?

You can get to the parking lot but access to the road that leads onto the bar is no longer accessible by vehicle.
