If I remember correctly they also said this issue won't be coming out tax payers pockets.

Guess they are going to install steel posts & put a metal roof 90 ft over the bridge deck. ( something like a snow shed on interior hwys. )

Maybe they should of just made a lower swing bridge ( no cables ) .
Any tugs or bigger vessels can pass thru at 3am. ( open swing bridge )
