Sam, I'm only coming sturgeon fishing for one day with my bud on his jet boat and the only suitable reel I have is a 16,000 series spinnig reel with 100lb braided line. It's used for casting 5-10 ounce lures for GT's and other large fish off boats.
Does someone wanna rent me their reel for sturgeon fishing? Nigelman
So what rod did you use for GT's?
Why not bring that?
All you need is a PVC tube and 2 end pieces, some glue/tape and away you go.
I saw the pic of that little Sturgie you caught-all kinds of fun or a Bar Rig I'm sure.
If you need a rod/reel send me a PM I'll give you my phone number and loan you mine if I'm not using it.
We don't usually start to target Sturgeon until late in summer/early Fall so it should be no prob.
