Man do I ever gotta get my camera back.
Fished for about 45mins today at the mouth of Millstream today at around 5pm with a Metric Spin.
Lots of Coho jumping on the tide change, along with quite a few sea-run cutties.

Was able to land 2 Jack Ho's and 1 about 7lbs.

Planning on hitting up the Sooke River tomorrow morning. Met up with my buddy who guides for our store after Millstream as he was coming back from the Sooke River and we had a little chat. He only managed a couple hook-ups on the fly( as he was fishing above the bridge) but apparently he saw some guy beach a 30lb beast on the fly. Key Fly that I find works best....Blue Muddler...sometimes bead headed.

Anyways long time without anytime to leave any posts but i thought that I would start again...giving Island reports anyways.

i think that there is some work going on in the millstream to get the coho back. the cuttie fishing is awsome up stream around east wellington area. the odd steelhead make it up in there as well. grew up with the stream running through my back yard. thats where i got started fishing when i was about 5. anyways in the years to come look out for more coho in the millstream.

Its in nanaimo but i havent been to the mouth i thought it was right beside downtown.Btw are you the guy i talked to last week at screamin fly

some people call it the millstone and some people call it the millstream. the way i know it is the millstream. and yes it comes out beside where the civic arena used to be.

Maps will say that the river is called the Millstone, but lots of people call their local systems by other names when they are growing up.  There is a Millstream which flows into Esquimalt harbour near Victoria.  More fish apparently in the Millstone.

I must be losing it as I the Millstream I thought of is actually Goldstream that is North of Victoria.

I must have been out in the sun too long today.

There is a Mill Bay north of Goldstream Chris if that is any consolation.    Mill Bay Creek flows in there

Ok we have a winner and I was actually fishing the lure too. GoldHammeredCroc was correct. It flows right into Portage inlet around Esquimalt, near Victoria.

Its deffenitly not in NanaimoA! ! !
