8:1 The ratio of yesterday's northern pike minnow to cutthroat catch. So many NPM that I donated a couple to the resident nesting pair of eagles. In her first two passes she missed the fish. In between attempts she would perch in a tree over water; I could almost hear her thinking "Now what am I doing wrong?" On the third pass she connected and flew the fish back to her nest. I pulled out my binocs to see if I could see the nestlings feeding but the nest is too deep and just the adult was visible.
