OK, for those with smartphones - what apps do you used to aid in fishing or boating (or planning the trip)?? I just got an iPhone a few weeks ago and going to start loading it up a little more soon....
What I DO use is
Tapatalk for forum reading (cept for FWR wink, nudge)
AllTrails for hiking/fishing (obviously, for trails lol)
WFNPortal for fishing network
BC Fishing for regulations
tideApp for tides and tide charts
playing with AnglerSocial

iCast, from On the Fly Productions, pipes instructional casting Videos directly into you iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

I think im going to check out that app and see if it covers 2 handed casting also. Sure be nice to fine tune myself while on the water or look at something to help or show my dad what im trying to explain to him ::)

it's the first time i wish i had an apple-thingy
There is also a show on WildTV that has really good instructional segments on different types of casting. (and yes 2 handed casting)
Sometimes it's listed as "Breaking the Surface" (monday nights) and other times the correct name "Fly Fisherman".

Too busy working the fly on the run I am fishing to worry about looking at an app and trying to make myself look good in the eyes of others. But then again the H2O I fish has no cell coverage. Just how I like it. Thank god! What ever happened to trial and error or is there an app for that also! 8)

While I may agree with your sentiments, greyghost, I feel that as long as folks are following regulations and fishing responsibly, they should not be criticized. To each their own.

My favorite fishing app is the OFF button.
