Well, it seems that Mill lake may still have some ice on it, so the Freak and I were wondering about some other options. I thought it might be fun to try and chase down some Dollies or Cutties. One problem, I have never done this on the fly before, so any tips or thoughts on where we could look or what patterns to use would be greatly appreciated. :)

Go to the Squamish. Freak knows what flies to use. If you dont want to go that far tell freak to take you to the last place we went last weekend and just do more walking than what we did.

Squamish?

Just spoke to reaction fly and tackle, and they said to go 25km up the forestry road and fish there, and work your way up, they also said its a very good system for dollies.
That area is better in a month or two once the fry start migrating ;)

Always worth trying but if at first you don't succeed you know it will only be getting better.

Oh it's going to be pretty watching you two cast... ;D Milllakemilllakemilllakemilllake...Or better yet..Reaction is having a FREE casting clinic at cultus lake Saturday...why don't you two head there and learn/work on your casting...If you guys are going to be using 5/6 wt rods and the wind picks up you NEED to learn to double haul...

Freak did alright casting when I was with him. All us self taught could always use some pointers though.( I'll be getting my lessons when I get back from NewFoundland next month )
Squamish is awesome for dollies. It will be alright right now but like Biffchan said better when the fry emerge. Cutties will also pick up in that time.

Thanks to a nice fellow on this forum, I will have a floatation device for Saturday. So I was kinda hoping for a lake, but we will see what happens!! ;D
