A client of mine lives up there, has 20 sled dogs. Each dog eats one salmon every day. Thats alotta fish.

Edit: Correction, just checked with the GF to confirm the numbers, I was wrong, thats 40 sled dogs.

i have friends up north that feed their sled dogs, almost a tonne of salmon and whitefish every year, as well as elk/deer meat, and dried kibbles and oatmeal. they dry the fish in slices.

No, the sockeyes are NOT going to be fed to the dogs. There was a previous post by Adacas that one of his clients have 40 sled dogs and that he feeds salmon to his dogs.

Prolly a gull going after some fish scraps. But every other cast you would nail a monster dolly sitting there eating the eggs we were tossing in the river.
