Title: Shuswap
Post by: iblly on July 13, 2021, 05:45:20 AM
Heading to Shuswap lake for five days. Staying in Blind bay. Wanting to bring a couple of fly rods. Any advice on trout opportunities mid July ? Preferably close to blind bay. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks, Bill.

If you have a boat, I'd hit White Lake instead (its only a ten minute drive away from blind bay), and its hard NOT to catch fish there. Tons of fat trout, and some monsters too if you know where to fish. :)

Thanks for that, the only boat available to me is the pontoon in blind bay

If you can get down to the mouth of the Adam's there are always trout lurking about offshore. Trolling a bucktail on a full. sink line can get some action. Same set-up with a small spoon works. The fish are habituated to eating salmon fry.
It is the doldrums though so you might just have a pleasant day boating :). Catch and release in this whole area so check the regs.
