Gong show at the Cap June 13th afternoon

(1/3) > >>

Fish Assassin:
Hiked down to my favourite canyon pool tonight to do a little fishing. Much to my surprise there were 3 float fishermen and 3 flyfishermen already there. There were 3 more fishermen further downstream who were casting way upstream. I was thinking of trying some other spot but decided to stay and watch the show. I was not disappointed. A few minutes later another guy showed up and elbowed his way in between two fishermen. He was tossing spoons. One of the flyfisherman was using a sinking line, the other a floating with a sink tip. There were lines flying all over the place ! Numerous tangles and the inevitable arguments ensued. What a scene !!

Oh, BTW since this is a fishing report: I managed one after most everybody left frustrated.

FishKid:
Yeah I know, same thing happened yesterday at the cable.  There were tons of guys fishing down on the rocks and on the cliff.  They were all over the place.  Yesterday was my first time venturing out to the cap in the afternoon in a long time because I usually fish it in the morning.  The reason why I couldn't fish the cap in the morning yesterday is because I had to study for final exams.  Therefore,  note to self; never go fishing to the cap in the afternoon.  Just to many people, personally I can't stand fishing with a whole bunch of people around me.  Well, atleast you caught one ;D.

Athezone:
The afternoons are always crowded this time of year on the Cap, get used to it. And with the internet it's more crowded than I've seen it than any other year.
