Directions to Fred's custom tackle
« on: October 02, 2005, 02:49:42 AM »

 ;D
I thought I would start with a smiley!

OK guys and Gals, three of us are coming over towards the end of October, landing at Vancouver Int. at around 3pm ish??

We need to burn some plastic in Fred's before we book into our hotel, what I need to know is the best way to reach Highway 1 [one] quickly? ???

I know there are other tackle shops but Fred's is the target when we arrive. 8)

Thanks in anticipation,

Colin

The simplest way is go onto Hwy 99 South Exit to Hwy 91 East, exit to 64th Ave. turn north bound on Hwy 15 (176th Street)
and you'll reach on ramp to Hwy 1. When you come upon Chilliwack take Vedder exit drive south bound and you'll reach Fred's (it's on left side of street)

Another shop worth visiting on the way to Chilliwack, right beside Hwy 1 is Reaction Fly and Tackle. Take the Whatcom Road exit, turn left at the 3 way stop. Continue across the overpass, you'll see a mall on your right. It's next to Tim Horton's. :)

How long are you here Colin, what are you fishing for?

Are you arriving in the afternoon on the 22nd (all uk flights arrive then...). Too bad because then we could meet up at the Help Habitat Fundraising social in Chilliwack and you could get your real Canadian meal. ;D

Good choice on the guiding service. :)

Meeting up is always possible, we'll figure that out when the date gets closer.

Sorry but forgot to say thanks for the directions.  I've been before but not directly from the airport only from downtown Vancouver.  It seemed a bit naff to drive to Robson Street and then go the way I know!! ;D
