hey i want some input on a fly i just tied here it is



i know its not very good but its around my 4th fly ive tied so far

yeah i kinda forgot about the light.. well the body is red ribbing with a strip of slver on the back and can you see the tail and wing

I can't really make much of it out...but one thing I can see is that the tail is too long.  Usual proportion for the length of the tail is usually between gap length of the hook, to shank length of the hook.

what is it supposed to be? How do you intend to fish it? It looks sort of like a mayfly dun. Providing the recipe may help if you are looking for some feedback.

dyed elk hair for the tail and the wing and red ribbing for the body i think i might try it on the vedder
