Title: Trout on the Vedder lately?
Post by: ajransom on September 09, 2014, 10:19:34 AM
Anyone been out trout fishing on the Vedder lately? Thinking of heading out this week. Been a while since I've been on the river.

Theres been some bullies sitting in the run below the cement slab on the backside, but you'll need to have waders to get across.

Nice... Waters probably pretty low too.

Would head up to the skagit but only have a couple of hours to spare so would love to nymph for some rainbows.

Thanks.

Water is extremely low, and I didn't see anything last time I was out.

Went out about a week ago and fished 5 or 6 runs.  One was loaded with trout (every cast) and the others were basically barren.  If you cover enough water you might do very well.  Try mid-river.
