Title: Recommedation on a chironomid fly line
Post by: badboi on May 29, 2015, 08:55:30 AM
Hi,

Any suggestions on a good Fly line for Chironomid fishing.  Especially when you are in depths of 20 feet +

A line which doesn't have much memory?

Thanks

buy a reel with a large arbor is the best way to fight the memory battle. I personally really like the Rio Indicator II line because it's designed to turn over bobbers and long leaders

I have used the Rio Indicator line which was good. Also Rio Gold and Grande with the WF Gold being preferred easy to cast. Just stretch the line when you start out to get rid of loops.
SA GLX is also a great line. I fish chronies under an indicator and also "naked" just the fly line.
